When is remote learning necessary?

Below are a range of circumstances when remote learning is required. They are:

• school is closed to all children within term time, due to adverse weather conditions.
• school is closed to all children within term time, due to an emergency on site, e.g. no water.
• School is closed to all children within term time, due to a pandemic.

We have a remote learning plan in place for all children in these circumstances.  We use EdGen to email parents the work being set for the children.  This can be accessed by parent's email address.  Children will then have access to Google Classroom where work can be completed and submitted.  There might also be video links sent in a email or links to the Government approved Oak National Academy website that was used in the Covid-19 pandemic.

Access to devices

Parents and carers who do not have the necessary devices for children to access google Classroom should contact the main office to arrange a loan of a device for this purpose only.
