Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) at Giles Academy

Children took part in a lovely MFL morning at Giles Academy for Year 6 children completing a range of French activities from learning numbers up to 20, greetings, to say how they were feeling and then some Christmas French activities too.

Parents and children in Key Stage 1 joined in with a workshop learning phonics and reading together.

 

Start Small, Dream Big event at Boston College

Start Small, Dream Big event at Boston College for Year 6 children. What an amazing day where children explored VR, raced RC cars, played a fun Maths board game, played an active jumping game, learnt hello in different languages, matched flags to their countries, played French ball game (pétanque), made mocktails, decorated apple dessert and decorated a shortbread cookie.... yum!!!

 

Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)

Children took part in European Languages Day on Thursday 26th September 2024.  They had a great day learning about different cultures, learning phrases for different languages and where the country was.... and of course, tasting some of the food.
